Published...

My first Kindle book release!

Absolutely not Morrowind related but it is very me related so I think I can post it here.

Very pleased to announce that I had my first Kindle book published today on Amazon and it is now in the Kindle Store.

I'm definitely not expecting anyone that reads this blog to rush out and buy it but I am quite excited about having my first book on the Kindle so wanted to share my news.

For those of you that may want to take a look it's here;

The Garden Snail: Pest or Pet

My next release may be a little more interest! "Social Media Sucks!" (in writing).

Didn't take long...

Due to the fact, I'm stuck in all day alone because of this stupid neck it seems all I have to do is write...

Although I only released the 1st Edition a week ago it appears I have managed to double its size and I already have the 2nd Edition in formatting.

Added;

Ai Wander - an example of available idol animations and how to use them in dialogue.

Ai Follow - an example of a simple follower quest.

Ai Travel - Making an NPC walk from the dialogue.

Greetings - More description on the separate greetings 0 - 9

Chance Game - Another more complex dialogue based game.

Random100 - More description of its usage.

Quick Reference - A table containing the commands so far

Just awaiting a story that is currently being written for me and I will be adding "adaptation" and "planning" to that list plus a few things more.

Coming soon....

Begging...

If you read this blog you may know that I hurt my neck quite badly last October and spent 3 months away from my PC.

The last two months have seen it get better slowly but surely but still not enough for me to use a mouse due to the posture it forces on me... Don't ask.

I can use it of course, just not have it welded to my hand like when you model or use the CS so it's cut down what I am able to do tremendously.

Typing, on the other hand, doesn't appear to give me problems providing I don't sit here for eight hours straight so, my only option has been to write.

As you or may not know I started a Morrowind Dialogue for Dummies and released the first edition of it at the end of last week and have started on the 2nd edition.

I may be able to teach in writing through tutorials and publish scientifically based Kindle books but I'm as much use as a chocolate teapot when it comes to writing science fiction.

Please. If you can help me with a short story (don't worry about grammar/ spelling etc) that I can use in an example in the 2nd Edition I would much appreciate it.

Your story doesn't have to relate to Morrowind in any way - That's why it's called an adaptation - as long as it has a start and a definitive ending(s) I should be able to make it so.

Showing how to turn a short story into a quest is of paramount importance I believe when planning your new quest and it is the only reason I don't release quest mods! I can't bloody write the story in the first place.

Thank you!

1st Edition Released.

I was a day late in releasing on the 30th anniversary of the World Wide Web, sorry Tim, but here it is.

Morrowind Dialogue for Dummies

Monday, 11 March 2019

I started...

After all this time procrastinating about writing a dialogue manual I finally started it.

It's still a rough draft but it's shaping up nicely. What I would really like though is some input. By input I don't mean physical help writing the bloody thing but I would like to hear your dialogue horror stories, problems you couldn't solve and anything else dialogue related that has baffled you.

I will be releasing the finished product as a pdf on Nexus but for now, you can read the draft any time you like via Google Docs.

And you can find that here

To PM me your ideas, problems, solutions and difficulties please use my discord link there on the right or by email

Back to writing. Laters.

Dialogue for Dummies.

I've recently been helping someone (Luccar) to learn how to do the dialogue for Morrowind and wondered if "Dialogue for Dummies" should be a thing?

After 17 years of spitting out dialogue and extended NPC replies etc, I think I could quite well write an informative tutorial on the subject.

I would really love to see more interactive NPC's in the game and would really love it even more if I encouraged more people to become modders.

Please. Let me know your thought on the subject. It could be a future project for me.

On the subject of dialogue...

I have updated the Auto-levelling Mercs for Morrowind Mod ( Compatible with Rebirth) to include more things.

I am in the middle of updating it again to include abilities for the Mercs (or at least one of them) to learn spells from the player and other NPC's and a few other interesting things.

If you're interested you can find it here

Right. That's enough from me for today. Back to the classroom!

Happy St David's Day!

Happy St David's Day everyone!!

Rwy'n gobeithio eich bod chi i gyd yn cael diwrnod gwych!

And no I didn't just fall asleep on the keyboard. Those are real words.

The rise of the House Telvanni Compatibility patch.

It's stand-alone, requires DarkNut's GDR interior tileset (as do all the ruins) and it's here;

I've neglected Morrowind once again! The neck went wonky and I couldn't sit here wasting my life but...I did get a chance to finish ...
